Prague – Berlin

Prague private galleries and non-commercial exhibition institutions have invited their colleagues from Berlin to come and exhibit in their spaces from March to May 2018.

This is the first year of a project that is intended as a regular cultural event based on hosting a different foreign city every year. The participating international art galleries will be able to reach a deeper cooperation. At the same time, we believe it is necessary to draw attention of our international colleagues to the Czech gallery environment.

During the last two decades, the Czech Republic acquired a high-quality and professional background for the artistic market and for presenting Czech as well as international contemporary art. The result of the cooperation of several exhibition spaces is a programme which aims at raising awareness of the general and professional public about the activities of Czech private galleries and their importance in the area of contemporary art promotion.
